Help draft Regence medical and medication policies

We appreciate receiving your feedback on our medical and medication policies. Seeking input from our physicians and other health care professionals is an important step in our policy development process and ensures we offer the best value, treatment and diagnostic options for our members.

When does Regence ask for input?

We look to practicing experts to share their clinical experience and provide feedback on new and updated medical and medication policies. In addition, we review clinical practice guidelines and make the reviews public.

How does Regence ask for input?

Providers who would like to review policies provide us with their email address and areas of interest. Regence sends policy drafts to the participating providers via email.

How does Regence use my input?

Our policy development starts with an appraisal of scientific evidence. Practicing providers assist in development of medical and medication policies by:

  • Sharing what is "standard of care" in the community
  • Discussing what clinical considerations drive treatment decisions
  • Helping Regence understand how clinical practice compares to the published literature

Will my input be kept confidential?

  • Your name, contact information or specific feedback is not shared outside of Regence.
  • We may share general summaries or characterize the feedback we receive, but we keep your name confidential.
  • Feedback is shared only with members of the Medical and Medication Policy workgroups or our Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

How do I provide input?

If you would like to provide feedback on policies in draft form, please join our email reviewer list.
