National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Please include your NPI number on all claims submissions. Please also include your tax identification number as both are needed to ensure accurate payment processing.
1. Obtain your NPI
If you have not applied for your NPI, complete either a paper form or an online application available on the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) website. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services offers enumeration guidelines and many other NPI-related resources.
Dental providers: We cannot deliver your 835 ERAs without a “Pay to” NPI.
If the answer to either question below is “no”, please contact your dental provider relations representative and provide the NPI needed.
- I am provider who is paid directly. Does Regence have my NPI?
- I am a provider who is part of group/corporation and payment is directed to that group. Does Regence have that NPI?
2. Submit your NPI to us by completing our Provider Information Update Form.
