Preferred Broker Program
Regence BlueShield of Idaho’s Preferred Broker
Program is available to all agents and brokers who are
appointed to represent the company’s products
and services within the designated service area, which
consists of the state of Idaho and Asotin and Garfield
counties in Washington. View our list of current Preferred
Brokers.
The program is designed to incent agents over and above
the normal commission structure. Preferred Brokers are
awarded bonus commission for exceptional performance
based on the point/percentage system. Performance will
be measured on a monthly basis; a quarterly report on
current standings will be provided to you. If you have
questions regarding this program, please contact the
Regence BlueShield of Idaho sales or account executive,
or general agent assigned to your district.
Point System
The Preferred Broker Program is based on a point system
which assigns different weights to each product. All
points and dollar amounts start over each year. Points
are assigned as follows:
Individual Plans
Regence Select for Individuals is closed to new enrollment.

Upon reaching Preferred Broker status (100 points),
a bonus of $2.50 per point will be paid. As additional
points are earned, the dollar value of those points
will be paid quarterly, with a final accounting at the
end of the year. The maximum payable to any one group
sale is $2,000.
